Phoenix Brant is forcing his way into San Diego’s everyday plans
In the 2026 season, Phoenix Brant gave San Diego a long, athletic right-handed bat with real two-way intrigue, hitting .290 with 27 hits, 8 doubles, 1 home run, 13 runs, and 7 RBI while also making his first collegiate pitching appearance. The standout trait is his physical upside: at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, he brings size, pop, and lineup flexibility, and his early-season 4-for-4 game with two doubles showed legitimate upside. He looks like a fit for teams wanting ceiling, versatility, and a player whose best baseball may still be ahead of him.
