Efficient, steady Georgia Southern QB with a quick-release fit and low-risk profile
In the 2026 season, Turner Helton has been a clean, low-mistake option for Georgia Southern, going 5-for-8 for 70 yards in the opener against Charleston Southern with no interceptions, plus 11 rushing yards[1][3][10]. His 2025 season was limited, but he still showed poise in spot duty, completing 14 of 26 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown across three games[1][5]. The appeal here is efficiency and composure more than volume: he looks like a reliable system QB who protects the ball, and the early-season competition for snaps suggests he’s not yet an entrenched starter[3][5][14].
