Explosive Huskies back, but durability was the storyline
In the 2014 season, Jesse Callier brought burst and versatility to Washington’s backfield, flashing a 5.6 yards-per-carry average as a freshman in 2010 and finishing his UW career with 997 rushing yards on 191 carries. The big differentiator was his open-field quickness and special-teams value, but the caution flag was obvious: his college career was repeatedly derailed by major injuries, including an ACL tear in 2012 and a ruptured Achilles in 2014. If you want a playmaker with juice, he fit the mold; if you need a durable feature back, the medical history made this a tougher sell.
