Big-time arm, comeback story, and real pro upside
In the 2026 season, Carson Turnquist was Cal Poly’s breakout workhorse: 9-3 with a 4.01 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings, after missing 2024 and most of 2025 while rehabbing Tommy John surgery. The 6-foot-5 right-hander brings obvious “why-not-him?” appeal with a mid-90s fastball that can touch the upper 90s, plus a changeup, slider, and cutter; the knock is command, with multiple reports noting walks and below-average strike-throwing. If your team wants a power arm with upside and some reliever risk, he’s a strong fit.
