Big-bodied Western Illinois DL with a proven freshman résumé and room to climb
In the 2024 season at Stetson, Steven Oberst appeared in 11 games and posted 8 solo tackles and 15 assisted tackles, then transferred to Western Illinois as a 6'4", 305-pound junior defensive lineman in 2026.[1][3][10] His best traits are obvious: size, interior strength, and enough production already to suggest he can occupy blocks and contribute immediately if his role expands. He was also named Defensive Player of the Year in high school and earned a Palm County All-Star selection, which points to a competitive edge and disruption upside.[1]
