Omaha's 10-1 Ace with Elite Control and Summit-Ready Intensity
Alexis Wiggins, a 5'10" senior right-handed pitcher for the Omaha Mavericks, is dominating the 2026 season with a 10-1 record, one save, and a shutout across three complete games, earning Summit League recognition. Her differentiators include elite control (48 strikeouts in prior seasons) and a relentless, high-intensity personality that thrives under pressure, making her a perfect fit for teams needing a reliable closer or opener. Unlike her 2024 Creighton stint where a season-ending injury limited her to 2-4 with a 3.42 ERA, she has returned stronger, posting a 4.40 ERA and holding opponents to a .287 average in 2025. You should care because Wiggins combines veteran poise with explosive intensity, offering a rare blend of consistency and clutch performance that statistics alone can't capture.
