Lindsey Cowans brings veteran late-inning stability to Long Beach State’s circle
Cowans has been a useful arm for the Beach in 2026, working in both starting and closing roles and even earning a save in Long Beach State’s upset of No. 4 Oklahoma, which says a lot about her poise in big moments. She arrived with a strong LIU résumé — 129 strikeouts, a 2.76 ERA, and 16 wins in 2024 — so the appeal is clear: experienced, strike-throwing, high-leverage pitching with swing-and-miss upside. If you want a competitor who can handle pressure and stabilize games, she fits.
