Kent State LB Sam Thomas brings proven tackling upside and depth value
Sam Thomas is a **developmental linebacker** for Kent State whose value comes from size, early-game experience, and a reputation as a tough inside defender. Kent State’s roster lists him as a linebacker, and 247Sports rates him as a **2-star prospect**, suggesting he profiles more as a steady depth piece than a headline star.[1][5] The clearest reason to care is his blend of physicality and willingness to play through contact, which can matter as much as raw stats at linebacker; if you need a reliable, hard-nosed fit for a rotation or special-teams role, he has the right frame and baseline production to be intriguing.[1][5]
