App State’s versatile, physical veteran from a different era
Matt Watson’s App State profile is historical, not current: the available roster data shows him as a 5-foot-10, 205-pound linebacker-turned-running back who appeared in 11 games for Appalachian State in 2012 after earlier seasons on defense. He stands out less for flash than for versatility and toughness, with a background that suggests a player willing to do the dirty work and adapt to the team’s needs. If you’re looking for an active 2026 impact update, this is likely not the right Matt Watson—App State’s current public football roster data does not show him as a present-day contributor.
