Matt Gackle brings experienced, blue-collar interior depth to Northern Colorado's defensive front
Gackle is a seasoned defensive tackle with real game experience for Northern Colorado, and his profile points to a dependable, assignment-sound interior lineman rather than a flashy stat producer. In the 2013 season, he played in all 12 games and finished with 21 tackles, including 18 solo stops, showing he could hold up for a full workload and contribute consistently. His differentiator is versatility on the defensive side after switching back from the offensive side in spring drills, which suggests coachability and a willingness to fit what the staff needs.
