Norfolk State TE Joseph Hawkins brings proven pass-catching upside
Joseph Hawkins profiles as a dependable, move-the-chains tight end with real receiving production for Norfolk State: in 2012 he logged 9 catches for 121 yards, and in 2013 he started 11 of 12 games and added another 44-yard reception, showing he can contribute as a steady outlet in the passing game[6]. His value is less about flashy stats and more about reliability, alignment flexibility, and trust in key downs—traits that typically matter to coaches building a balanced offense. Based on the available roster data, he looks like a fit for teams needing a functional, possession-oriented TE rather than a pure seam-busting mismatch weapon[6].
