Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Catcher to Watch
Vinny Saumell is listed as a 6'2" catcher for Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a profile that typically signals a premium defensive role with value in game management, receiving, and throwing. I couldn’t verify reliable public stat lines or scouting reports for him in the provided results, so the strongest takeaway is his roster fit rather than a detailed performance read: if he’s earning innings behind the plate, that suggests trust in his handling of pitchers and everyday competitiveness. For a team, he projects as a depth-or-development catcher worth monitoring for defensive reliability and field presence.
