Taylor Long brings Chattanooga a power arm with upside in the circle
Taylor Long is a Chattanooga Mocs pitcher whose value comes from the kind of traits coaches prize beyond raw box-score lines: mound presence, pitchability, and the ability to keep hitters uncomfortable with velocity, movement, and command. Publicly available recruiting guidance emphasizes that college coaches evaluate pitchers on measurable skills like throwing velocity and position-specific execution, so Long’s fit will depend on how well those tools translate against strong competition. Because the available search results do not include detailed 2026 game logs or verified stat leaders, the safest read is that she profiles as a developmental arm worth watching for projection and competitive makeup rather than a fully documented proven ace.
