Marissa Brown brings senior-size, defensive grit to Charleston’s backcourt
In the 2024-25 season, Marissa Brown was a low-usage, do-everything senior guard for Charleston, averaging 3.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 41.7% from the field. She does a lot of the little things—rebounding like a forward, defending with effort, and giving the Cougars a sturdy 6-foot presence on the perimeter. The fit question is easy: if a team wants toughness, length, and a dependable role player who won’t hijack possessions, Brown is a sneaky-good add.
