big-bodied, versatile Virginia tackle with a veteran’s résumé
Whitmire was a highly regarded Virginia offensive tackle recruit and developed into a lineman coachs trusted for versatility, with multiple starts at right tackle and right guard for the Cavaliers. In the 2015 season, he appeared in all 12 games and made eight starts, showing he could move around the line and still hold up in pass protection and in the run game. His biggest differentiators are size, flexibility, and experience overcoming injury adversity, including a comeback after multiple back surgeries. If you value a tough, adaptable veteran who can stabilize a line room, he fits.
