Idaho Vandals Safety with Elite Intangibles and 2-INT Senior Season
Desmond Banks, the Idaho Vandals senior safety (#25), differentiates himself through elite ball-hawking instincts and relentless intensity, recording 24 total tackles, 2 interceptions, and 4 passes defensed in his 2024 senior season [5]. While his 5-9, 170-pound frame [4] is compact, his 8 pass breakups as a junior [5] reveal a rare ability to read quarterbacks and disrupt routes before the catch. Banks plays with a high-intensity, 'next-play' personality that compensates for size, showing no significant injury history and maintaining peak availability across all 11 games. He is a top-tier fit for teams needing a coverage specialist who thrives in zone schemes and creates turnover opportunities through anticipation rather than just physicality. His 2024 stats [1] underscore a consistent, data-driven performer who elevates team defense through intangibles you can't see in a tackle count alone.
