Shun Jenkins was a rugged Ohio State rebounder who battled through injury and brought old-school toughness
In the 2003 season, Shun Jenkins was a 6-foot-6, 235-pound Ohio State forward who gave the Buckeyes interior toughness, rebounding, and physicality; he tied for the team lead at 6.1 rebounds per game in 2002-03 and still averaged 4.3 rebounds in his Ohio State career, despite missing time after a broken finger early in his transition to Division I. He wasn’t a volume scorer, but his value showed up in effort, glass work, and grit — the kind of glue guy who makes a roster harder to play against.
