Fearless LB Koni Dole: Prosthetic-Powered Leader Inspiring Montana State Despite Amputation
Koni Dole, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker for the Montana State Bobcats, is a data-driven differentiator whose 2012 compound fracture led to a below-knee amputation, yet he returned to dominate wrestling and football with a prosthetic leg. His intensity is unmatched—he shuns the spotlight while inspiring nationwide, reaching personal milestones in the 2015 opener and playing three games in 2024-25 without stats. Dole’s personality blends fearless resilience with quiet leadership, making him a perfect fit for teams valuing grit over glamour. Though he left the team in 2017, the camp’s mood confirms he can return if he chooses, proving his enduring impact transcends statistics.
