Christopher Sumners brings academic consistency and depth to Howard’s defensive line
Christopher Sumners is a Howard defensive lineman whose most clearly documented strength is reliability: he earned MEAC Football All-Academic Team honors in the 2021 fall season, signaling strong preparation and discipline off the field. Public stat tracking shows only limited box-score production, with 1 tackle and no sacks in the available data, so his value is more likely tied to rotational depth, technique, and assignment soundness than headline-grabbing numbers. If you want a high-floor, coachable DL who fits a team-first culture, he is the kind of player worth keeping on the radar.
