Michael Cooney brings proven leg strength and reliability to SEMO’s kicking game
Michael Cooney is a trustworthy specialist with a track record of steady production: at LIU, he connected on 14 of 19 field goals in the 2024 season, including a strong 7-for-10 mark in 2022 and a perfect 24-for-24 on extra points in 2023. He also showed big-leg utility on kickoffs, earning league recognition in 2023 for consistent touchback help. For Southeast Missouri State, he looks like the kind of kicker who can quietly tilt field position and cash in scoring chances—valuable, composure-first, and built for close games.
