Bryson Goff is giving New Orleans innings, but the command-and-contact risk is real
In the 2026 season, New Orleans left-hander Bryson Goff has worked as a durable starter, going 6-3 with a 7.98 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 53.0 innings while starting 12 games[4][11]. He has shown enough stamina to pitch at least 6.0 innings in each of his last three starts[4], and he flashed swing-and-miss ability in a February win over Tulane, striking out four and finishing the game strong over his last 3.1 frames[1]. The upside is size, left-handed looks, and starter’s volume; the concern is hard contact and traffic, as reflected by the elevated ERA and a rough April outing against Troy[6].
