Sofia Valente brings size, skill, and floor-stretching upside to Lafayette
In the 2025-26 season, Sofia Valente has played 13 games for Lafayette and is averaging 0.6 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 5.2 minutes per game, while shooting 33.3% from the field and 50.0% from three[1]. The bigger story is her fit: Lafayette described the 5-11 forward as someone who can stretch the floor, operate as a point forward, score in the low post, and pass well—traits that hint at real long-term utility beyond the box score[4]. She also arrived as a decorated high school winner and honor-roll student, which usually translates to a high floor and coach-friendly reliability[4].
