Cody Nelson brings NFL-style reliability to Northwestern State’s special teams
Cody Nelson is a seasoned long snapper for Northwestern State, listed at 6-3 and 238 pounds, with a reputation for battle-tested reliability and strong character dating back to his Slidell High days, where he earned first-team all-district honors and a 4.5-star long-snapper rating. In the 2024 Northwestern State roster information, he had no current season stats listed, which is normal for a specialist whose value shows up in clean operation, consistency, and hidden-yardage discipline rather than box-score flash. If your team wants a calm, sturdy specialist with proven pedigree, Nelson looks like a smart fit.
