Jaquenta Richard brings backcourt experience to a Texas Southern team still searching for consistency
Richard is a guard for Texas Southern who profiles as a steady backcourt piece in a season where the Lady Tigers have struggled to find consistency, finishing 10-21 overall and 6-12 in conference play in 2025-26. Her value is less about flashy box-score pop and more about fit: a guard who can help stabilize possessions, absorb pressure, and complement a roster that has been outscored in several key stretches. If you need a disciplined, ready-made guard who can fit into structured systems and handle competitive minutes, she is the kind of player worth watching.
