Cole Gilmore arrives with championship pedigree, but 2026 is still a blank slate at West Georgia
Gilmore is a freshman catcher/infield option from Newnan, Georgia, who helped Newnan High win a 2025 state title and previously won a 2025 JUCO national championship at Pasco-Hernando State, giving him a rare winning résumé before arriving at West Georgia[1][2]. West Georgia lists him as a 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed bat/thrower with no 2026 game appearances yet, so the upside is more about projection, competitiveness, and versatility than college stat-production so far[2]. If a team wants a grinder with experience on winning teams and the flexibility to handle multiple spots, he’s an intriguing depth-and-development bet[1][2].
