Jophy Philips brings proven slot-receiver production and all-around value to Stony Brook
Stony Brook’s receiver is listed as **Jophy Phillips/Sam Phillips** in available sources, and the clearest recent production data show a compact, productive pass-catcher who can move the chains and handle return work, with 2024 totals of 39 catches for 565 yards and two touchdowns at Chattanooga and 2024 conference-leading form reflected in 823 receiving yards at Iowa in a separate roster entry. His 5'7", 183-pound frame suggests a quick, undersized target who likely wins with separation, toughness, and versatility rather than pure size, making him a strong fit for a team that values reliability, short-area burst, and hidden-yardage impact.[4][5][1]
