Nick Guidas is giving Kent State a veteran lefty who can steady a game
In the 2025 season, Guidas posted a 7.71 ERA over 21.0 innings for Kent State, but he also showed swing-and-miss stuff with 17 strikeouts and flashed real value in leverage spots; in 2026, he remained on the roster as a redshirt senior and earned Academic All-MAC recognition with a 3.96 GPA. The appeal is the profile: a 6-foot-2, 200-pound LHP who has already proven himself as a durable strike-thrower after a dominant Division III track record, and whose experience, competitiveness, and poise can fit a staff that needs left-handed innings and a calm presence.
