Jake Souders brings a high-contact, extra-base threat with speed and staying power
Souders is a rising Samford bat who paired a .356 average, 11 home runs, 46 RBI and 17 steals in the 2026 season with elite availability, starting all 56 games[1][2][3]. He was the kind of hitter coaches trust because he keeps producing in volume, leads the team in hits and runs, and shows a balanced offensive profile with power, on-base ability and athleticism[1][3][11]. Beyond the stat line, reports highlight a 6'3" right-handed hitter with consistent multi-hit impact and draft/professional buzz, making him a strong fit for teams wanting a ready-made middle-order bat with versatility and upside[4][5][7].
