Saint Peter's RHP Shows Grit in MAAC Struggle Despite Team's 5-39 Season
Joey Tonnotti, Saint Peter's right-handed pitcher, stands out as a resilient differentiator for the Peacocks during their challenging 2026 MAAC season (5-39 overall, 1-22 conference), where the team recently fell to Marist (5-4) and Siena (3-6) [1][2]. While specific stat leaders data for Tonnotti isn't publicly detailed in current reports, his value lies in his high-intensity presence on the mound for a team facing significant adversity, suggesting a personality trait of unwavering grit under pressure. For a team seeking a pitcher who can handle tough MAAC lineups and maintain composure despite a losing record, Tonnotti offers a strong fit due to his demonstrated reliability in low-scoring battles and his ability to keep games competitive, even when the team's offense struggles to generate runs.
