Brad Nelson remains a name to monitor, but current Jackrabbits QB usage points elsewhere
Brad Nelson is tied to South Dakota State football, but the available current-depth-chart and team-stat sources for 2026 do not show him as the Jackrabbits’ primary quarterback, which means his on-field impact is not yet the story to follow. For a fit check, the key question is opportunity: South Dakota State’s offense leans heavily on the run and has generated strong team results, so a QB here must be efficient, poised, and willing to operate in a balanced, low-drama system.
