Experienced, Versatile Cornerback with Proven Transfer Value
T.J. Shine is a seasoned defensive back who brought experience, versatility, and toughness after transferring from Southern Illinois to Washburn, where he was noted for spring-practice competition at cornerback. Reliable public stat lines are limited in the available sources, but the scouting picture is clear: he’s a compact, physical cover man who can handle multiple defensive-back roles and looks comfortable in high-motor, assignment-sound football. He’s the kind of veteran DB coaches like because he adds depth, maturity, and immediate special-teams/coverage value rather than flashy headlines.
