Relentless Defender from Saint Peter's Past Glory Days
Janae Mayfield, a 5'6" guard for Saint Peter's Peahens, showcased gritty play in 2015-17 with 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists over 20 games including starts, highlighted by her first collegiate bucket vs. Navy; later at Montclair State (NCAA D3) in 2017-18, she appeared in 28 games with a high of 8 points vs. Kean. Known as high school elite on-ball defender with unmatched intensity, she's a pesky, heart-driven competitor perfect for teams needing tough, undersized guards who elevate defenses—though post-2018 data is scarce, her hustle makes her a fit for gritty programs.
