Longwood’s Beno Jaekel brings size, rebounding, and low-mistake interior minutes
Jaekel’s value at Longwood has been as a rugged 6'9" center who can give you efficient, physical minutes, rebound his area, and protect the rim in short bursts; in the 2007-08 season he averaged 2.2 rebounds, shot 42.5% from the field, and logged team-leading rebound games twice. [1] He is not a high-usage scorer, but he offers the kind of size, energy, and matchup insurance coaches like when they need a reliable interior body rather than a featured option. [1]
