FIU RHP Alex Walsh brings strikeout upside, but health is the big question
Alex Walsh is a 6'1", 200-pound junior right-hander on Florida International’s 2026 roster, and the best recent public note on his profile is that he was expected to contribute in a rotation/impact role after a strong 2026 showing elsewhere, but he also drew injury-related DNP attention this cycle. His appeal is straightforward: starter’s frame, power arm profile, and the kind of mound presence that can swing a game when he’s right. If your staff wants upside and isn’t scared off by availability uncertainty, he’s worth a long look.
