Idaho Vandals' Stalwart DE Turned Colgate Coaching Fixture
Ryan Knowles, a four-year starter at defensive end for the Idaho Vandals in the early 2000s, earned second-team All-Big West honors in 2000 after racking up over 150 career tackles from Sandpoint High (Class of '96); now in his 12th season as Colgate's defensive line coach and special teams coordinator, he's developed 17 All-Patriot League players with his Pacific Northwest recruiting pipeline. His gritty, high-motor style and player-development savvy make him a coach-any-team-would-covet for building relentless defenses—proven winner beyond the stats.
