Andre Shishkin brought trench-warrior production to WCU’s front line
In the 2011 season, Andre Shishkin was one of Western Carolina’s most active defensive linemen, finishing with 51 total tackles and a team-best 8.5 tackles for loss among the Catamounts’ defensive front. His value goes beyond the box score: he was a high-motor, every-down-style presence who repeatedly showed up against the run, added pass-rush disruption, and even blocked a PAT. A knee injury in spring 2012 is part of his background, so durability is a key context point for any team evaluating his fit.
