Caleb Barnett brings rare two-way upside and loud power to Alabama's freshman mix
In the 2026 season, Barnett is an intriguing Alabama freshman INF/RHP at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, with a right-right profile and a big-league frame that scouts have long loved. His calling card is impact bat speed and raw power, with preseason evaluations highlighting strong exit velocity and legitimate two-way tools; he was also ranked among the nation’s best prep freshmen and among Alabama’s top prospects before arriving in Tuscaloosa. He’s a fit if your team wants upside, physical projection, and versatility—though he’s still early in his college development, so the appeal is ceiling as much as polish.
