Versatile GWU safety with a scrappy, veteran edge
Jordan Blackmon is a Gardner-Webb defensive back/safety who brings a compact, physical frame (5-10, 156) and experience to the secondary; he previously played at South Florida before joining GWU[2]. In the 2023 season, ESPN lists him on the roster but shows no recorded defensive stats, so his value appears to be more about depth, knowledge, and readiness than box-score production[1]. The fit question is simple: if a team wants a tough, experienced back-end defender who can compete, communicate, and add steadiness, Blackmon looks like the kind of glue guy coaches quietly love[1][2].
