Desmond Johnson brings size, experience, and playmaking juice to TSU’s back end
Desmond Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back for Tennessee State who brings a sturdy frame and long-term program familiarity, with roster history showing he has been in the TSU system since 2016-18. Publicly available stat pages are thin, so the clearest read is his profile as a veteran, physical DB with defensive-back versatility rather than a flashy box-score merchant. The fit question hinges on value: if a team wants a disciplined, battle-tested secondary piece who can handle contact and understand structure, Johnson looks like a solid add.
