Bubba Furlong brings size, rim protection, and blue-collar toughness to Sam Houston
Bubba Furlong is a 6-9 F/C who profiles as a physical, defense-first frontcourt piece for Sam Houston, with a track record of shot blocking and rebounding going back to his college years. In the 2020-21 season, he led the Great American Conference in blocks at 2.07 per game, and earlier at Sam Houston he totaled 168 points, 130 rebounds, and 40 blocks across three seasons, showing he can anchor the paint rather than just fill space. He looks like a good fit for teams that value rim protection, toughness, and low-drama role acceptance over flashy scoring.
