Shemar Thornton brings proven production and steady slot-value to NIU
Thornton is a productive, reliable receiver who has already shown he can handle volume, posting 30 catches and 327 receiving yards for NIU in the 2022 season after logging 93 career catches, 1,156 yards, and 7 touchdowns in ESPN’s profile. His appeal is not flashy top-end speed in the public record, but dependable route-running, experience, and a track record of getting open and contributing in different offensive situations. For a team, he looks like a good fit if you want a seasoned, lower-drama target who can stabilize the passing game and win with consistency.
