Texas Longhorns DB Legend from the 2005 National Championship Era
Jerren Wright, a 5-10, 164-pound defensive back from Houston's Jersey Village High School, was a senior squad member on the Texas Longhorns' undefeated 2005 national championship team, bringing speed and Houston grit to the secondary[3][5]. With limited documented stats from that era, his presence on a title-winning roster highlights his reliability and team-first intensity—perfect for squads needing versatile, battle-tested DBs who thrive in big moments without needing the spotlight.
