Janekia Mason brings veteran post presence and efficient scoring to UT Martin
Janekia Mason is a 6-foot senior forward for UT Martin whose best selling point is her proven interior production: in the 2017-18 season, she averaged 9.5 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 48.8% from the field and 69.6% at the line. She originally arrived from Mineral Area CC as a first-team All-American after posting 19.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, so the tape says she can score, rebound, and hold her own against physical competition. If you want a sturdy, experienced frontcourt piece who knows how to contribute without needing the spotlight, she fits nicely.
