the classic old-school linebacker with proven tackling production and team MVP pedigree
Troy McConico’s North Carolina Central profile shows a linebacker built on production, toughness, and reliability: he was a two-time Team Defensive MVP and All-League pick, and NCCU credited him with more than 240 tackles in two seasons. In his 2008 senior season, he was a steady centerpiece for the Eagles and led the team with 49 tackles in one game note, signaling the kind of downhill, tone-setting presence coaches love. If you want a physical, assignment-sound defender with leadership chops and no-nonsense grit, McConico looks like a fit.
