Kaiden Smaka brings steady on-base skills and speed to Long Beach State’s outfield
In the 2025 season, Kaiden Smaka started 36 of 43 games for Long Beach State and hit .323 with 21 RBI, 19 walks, and nine stolen bases—an efficient, high-contact leadoff-style profile with enough athleticism to pressure defenses. The Las Vegas native has a track record of doing a little bit of everything: in high school, MaxPreps listed him among Nevada’s leaders in multiple categories, and scouting services have noted solid bat speed and strong exit velocity. He looks like a reliable, versatile OF fit for a team valuing contact, patience, and speed.
