veteran UCF linebacker with a long runway but limited recent public production
John Tauber is a former UCF linebacker whose public profile reflects a brief on-field run in 2017, with ESPN and UCF records showing him listed as an inside linebacker/redshirt sophomore and appearing against ECU that season; the available stat pages do not show a meaningful recent production trail. For a team, the appeal would have been size and linebacker depth rather than proven stat-sheet fireworks, but the lack of recent game-impact data makes him more of a historical roster note than an obvious current-impact fit.
