Carson Kitchel is a developmental Purdue QB with hometown upside
Carson Kitchel entered Purdue as a 6-foot-2, 193-pound freshman quarterback from West Lafayette and did not appear in games in the 2024 season, so the profile is still about projection more than production[2][3]. The appeal is the local-legacy angle, a solid prep résumé, and a developmental frame that fits a quarterback room in need of depth; the caution is that there’s no meaningful college sample yet, so he’s a long-term upside swing rather than a ready-made solution[2][7].
