Adam Njie Jr. brings pace, playmaking, and downhill pressure to Dayton
Njie projects as a high-motor guard who can create offense in bunches: in 2024-25 at Iona, he averaged 12.4 points, 4.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals while starting 28 of 33 games, and he earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors twice. The differentiator is his blend of burst, rim pressure, and defensive activity—he can generate steals, get into the lane, and make teammates better—but his jumper is still developing, with a 29.2% three-point mark and 2.9 turnovers per game. If Dayton wants a competitive, up-tempo guard with upside, he fits.
