veteran K-State linebacker who won on toughness, brains, and reliability
In his Kansas State career, Alex Hrebec stood out more for steady dependability than flashy box-score explosions: a former walk-on who became a starter, played with a physical edge, and earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors while handling linebacker and special-teams duties. Kansas State described him as a physical linebacker who started 21 games over his first three seasons in Manhattan, and he was recognized for being a durable, team-first presence. If you value toughness, consistency, and a high-football-IQ culture fit, he’s exactly the kind of blue-collar linebacker you’d love to have.
