Promising ECU DB Recruit from 2013 Class
Travon Simmons, a 5-10, 170-pound cornerback from Powder Springs, Ga., signed with East Carolina in 2013 after clocking a 4.69 40-yard dash at the ESPN combine; redshirted his true freshman year, earning scout team praise from coaches for his physicality and coverage skills. His compact frame and speed make him a gritty slot defender ideal for press-man schemes, though limited recent data post-2013 suggests he's a developmental prospect—perfect for teams needing depth at DB with high-motor upside, but not yet an impact starter.
